We get a celebration of the UK's best Christmas markets in the country.

Christmas markets are a German tradition from back to the middle ages. In anticipation of the Christmas rush, farmers and other producers would set up temporary tables in the village squares, hoping to attract passersby.

It is so easy to see why they are so popular in the UK. Beautiful wooden huts, fairy tale lights, and the aroma of freshly mixed wine and fried sausages make for a perfect Christmas.

It looks like every major UK city is competing for a top spot in the Christmas market. Which will you go to?

Our Favorite Christmas Markets:

Manchester Christmas Market

Manchester is the first UK city to enter a Christmas market campaign. Since the late 90s, the event has (of course) been frozen and now has over 300 large stalls selling everything for the festival imaginable.

With the glorious Manchester Town Hall coming from behind, Albert Square is the perfect place to host the event - almost as if you were back in the 19th century in Germany. The event has grown so large that there is no impact in other parts of the city, including St Anne's Square and The Corn Exchange.

Bath Christmas Market:

The beautiful Roman baths of Bath play in an attractive Christmas market centered on local brands. More than 80% of the 170 shareholders are businesses from Bath and surrounding areas, carefully assessed for quality by the Bath Council.

New this year is The Lodge in a rustic snow lodge on Street Street. Take a break from the cold winter air and visit the club to get heart-warming food, hot drinks, cakes, and real ales produced locally.

Lincoln Christmas Market:

Hear you! Hear you! Enthusiasts of all orders are welcome at Olde Lincoln Christmas Market.

Set in an old city square between the Norman castle and the magnificent gothic cathedral, Lincoln's senior town center is the perfect backdrop for the Christmas Market.

There is something for everyone with more than 280 stalls, from unusual gifts to food and beverages from near and far, including traditional Lincolnshire products such as plum bread and Lincolnshire Poacher cheese. This year, the council has hired several people who will help match the spirit of Xmas with the same music song along with the regular stadium.

Winchester Christmas Market:

Winchester Christmas Market is very popular, attracting about 350,000 visitors each year. Located on the grounds of Winchester Cathedral, traditional wooden chalets surround the actual ice rink to create a beautiful winter landscape.

There is a strong focus on British handicrafts - Winchester Cathedral carefully selects manufacturers from all over the country to bring their goods to market, including jewelers, painters, glassmakers, and textile designers.

Leeds Christkindelmarkt:

The German Christmas market Leeds (Christkindelmarkt) returns to its 14th year in 2015 when Millennium Square transformed into a beautiful winter valley, with 40 traditional hall halls adorned with festive grass and brightly colored lights.

There are tons of traditional German goods to sample, including Stlenlen and Gingerbread, as well as a warm winter drink of gluhwein. The Alp Chalet Bavarian eatery offers a warm and cozy place to enjoy authentic German food and beverages.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland:

For six weeks at Christmas, the London center was transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland. completed with a fair ride, ice rinks, free live music, and - Great Christmas Market.

More than 200 wooden-lighted chalets roam the streets and squares of Hyde park, creating a beautiful Bavarian landscape in the heart of Big Smoke. Make your Christmas shopping quick, enjoy the delicious food and drinks you can offer, and maybe take a trip on the Ferris Wheel up for a delightful winter evening.

Christmas at the Duke of York Square:

A great experience in the Christmas market, the Duke of York Square, in Chelsea's center, offers an excellent selection of fashion, food, beauty, and culture.

From the beginning of November, you can visit Santa in Grotto and take a look at the famous Fine Food Market, which has art cakes, locally grown farm produce, freshly caught fish, and, for Christmas, a list of fun festive items.

Besides food, designer shops line up the square end, reflecting the excellent Haute fashion from the likes of Joseph, LK Bennett, and Jigsaw.
